Humor

Healing is a big part of Helena’s ministry – healing of the heart and emotions and humour plays a big part in the healing process. She has learned from personal experience that being able to laugh at oneself can be an integral part of being freed from the bonds of depression and hopelessness. Laughter softens the heart and allows the Holy Spirit to come in and begin to mend the areas of brokenness.

Proverbs 17:22 says (in the Amplified version): “A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”

To Helena’s surprise, the Lord has made a way for her lifetime hobby of mimicry to find a place in her ministry endeavors. Having been encouraged to bring them with her onto the platform, her characters are now utilized at Wounds to Worship conferences and special occasions and ministry situations and have been very effective in outreach endeavours.
